Ross: Return to action
Maurice Ross could make a surprise return to action this Saturday after recovering for a hamstring injury faster than expected.

The Scottish international picked up the injury during the 2-0 defeat away to Leyton Orient and missed last week's 5-1 thrashing at Cheserfield. However, the former Rangers right-back returned to training in mid-week and is now expected to be included in Nigel Spackman's squad for the game against Oldham Athletic.

However, Mark Phillips is definitely out after dislocating his shoulder at Saltergate but Neal Ardley could return to the midfield after overcoming his own injury problems and there is good news on The Lions' long-term injuries.

"Darren Byfield is responding well to treatment, likewise Jody Morris is coming on quickly," physio Colin Clifford told the club's official site.

"Ben May had an operation on his shoulder recently and is doing rehabilitation work. Obviously he is limited to what he can do at the moment because of his shoulder, but is working hard on the areas that he can to maintain his fitness."
