Rovers reject Sutton bid

Raith Rovers have rejected an approach by Millwall for striker John Sutton after their valuation of the player failed to match their own expectations.

Rovers chairman Turnbull Hutton said, “Millwall mentioned a figure which was not acceptable.”

It is believed that Raith have valued Sutton at £100,000 and have already turned down an offer from Dundee to take the striker on-loan.

Manchester City, Southampton and Celtic have all expressed an interest while Spanish giants Valencia are interested in giving the striker a trial.
