Rowlands may get extended stay

The former Rangers captain has slipped down the pecking order at Loftus Road and made the switch across London on a month's loan last week.

Rowlands was an unused substitute during Saturday's goalless draw against Nottingham Forest but Lions manager Kenny Jackett expects him to play a big role in the coming weeks.

"He's someone I've worked with before, when I was assistant-manager to Ian Holloway at QPR," said Jackett.

"He hasn't been involved in their squad lately, so it's a good opportunity for us to have a look at Martin over the next month."
