Dennis Wise today landed Southampton striker Jo Tessem on a month's loan as cover for the injured Barry Hayles and Daniele Dichio, who is struggling with a groin problem.

The Norwegian international's contract is up at the end of the season and he hopes that the move will put him back in the shop window. Speaking to the club's official website, the 6'3" striker explained the reasons behind the move: "Dennis called me and it all happened very quickly. I think my time at Southampton is over and I'm looking to play some football. As it stands my contract runs out in the summer so I've come here to play.

"I've played a few friendlies against Millwall and of course in the FA Cup a couple of years ago - the one thing you know about this division is there are a lot of games. But I suits me, I prefer it like that and I'm looking forward to it."

Tessem is likely to make his debut on Sunday afternoon against Nottingham Forest.
