Senda set to depart

Danny Senda looks set to quit The Lions this week after manager Kenny Jackett decided not to offer the defender a new deal.

The 28-year-old has been on the sidelines after sustaining a torn achilles injury during Richard Sadlier's testimonial game against Middlesbrough back in August.

The club had initially offered the player a short-term deal after he had missed the 2008/09 season with a knee injury but following a run-out with the reserves against Brentford last week Jackett decided not to renew the deal due to the form of Alan Dunne and Jack Smith in recent months.
