Serioux: Returning home
Canadian international Adrian Serioux has left Millwall Football Club and possibly quit football for good as he nurses his mother back to health.

The defensive midfielder, who was signed by former manager Dennis Wise August 2004, made his decision earlier today after talks with boss Colin Lee.

"Adrian came to see me the other night before the game", revealed Lee. "He was in no fit state to be included in the squad for the QPR game because his mother had suffered a setback and that he wanted to return to Canada.

"Initially he was talking about going back for good and forgetting football whilst he concentrates on looking after his mother."

Serioux has made several trips back home whilst with The Lions to see his mother, who has been in poorly for the past year, and while Lee was willing to give him two weeks off the Canadian has decided to quit football for the immediate future.
