Simpson: Permit worries
Canadian international Josh Simpson's Millwall career could come to a premature end this Summer, thanks to a lack of first team appearances due to injury.

Simpson, 21, has been out since January with a catalogue of injuries and now has only six games left to prove his worth, both to Millwall and to the bureaucrats who will rule on the player's work permit.

"I hope I can do enough to earn a new deal," Simpson told The South London Press. "The signals coming from the club have been good. But I am more concerned at the moment about getting a new work permit.

"I have to prove I have made a significant contribution to the team before the Home Office allow me to stay and that will be tough because I have been out for such a crucial period. It has been very frustrating.

"Playing for Millwall next season would be fantastic," the player continued. "But without a work permit, I can't play for anyone here.

"It is never going to be great getting injured, but it could not have come at a worse time."
