Ashley Grimes sent manager Kenny Jackett a timely reminder that he is well on the way back to full fitness after injury by hitting a hattrick against Dagenham & Redbridge in hastly arranged friendly.
The game - which The Lions won 3-2 - was staged to help several players regain their match fitness including Grimes, captain Paul Robinson and striker Jason Price.
Senior players Marcus Bignot and Adam Bolder also played along with a number of youth team players and a unnamed trialist.
