Trio return

Kenny Jackett welcomes back Marc Laird, Tresor Kandol and Gary Alexander for tomorrow's home game against Stockport County with all three in contention for a place in the manager's team.

Jackett has hinted that one or two players may be axed to make way for the trio, a move that may delay Neil Harris' attempts to break Teddy Sheringham's goal-scoring record. The popular hitman needs just one to join the former England international in The Lions' record books but the Millwall boss has always prefered Alexander and Kandol as his main strike force.

"I'm pleased to say that the players who are not in the side at the moment are doing well in the reserves, showing a good attitude and putting players in the side under pressure," Jackett told the club's official site.

"It's no coincidence that the reserves and youth team are doing well at the moment as well. To be successful you have to have a strong squad committed to the cause, and once again the substitutes could be key factors on Saturday."
