Trotman rejects Millwall

Preston North End defender Neal Trotman has rejected a loan move to The Den.

The 22-year-old, who missed the majority of last season through injury, was the subject of an enquiry from Lions boss Kenny Jackett, who is keen to bolster his badly weakened defensive line, but the defender opted to stay with North End.

"There was an enquiry from Millwall," Preston manager Alan Irvine revealed. "But Trots told me he wanted to stay here and fight for a place in our team."
