Valiants set to complain to FA

Port Vale chairman Bill Bratt has expressed his displeasure at the behaviour of some of the Millwall squad during Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Vale Park and is said to be preparing to make an official complaint to the Football Association followig the sending off of defender Jason Talbot.

Talbot was dismissed following a clash with on-loan winger Ryan Smith after appearing to make contact with the player, but Bratt is unhappy with the reaction of several of The Lions players, in particular striker Poul Hubertz.

"The big centre-forward ran 30 yards to get in the melee", the Vale chairman told local paper The Sentinel. "That is unforgivable as far as I am concerned.

"I wouldn't expect our players to do what their players did. It's completely wrong. I feel sorry for Jason. He is getting a reputation and it is not all his fault."

Saturday's red card was Talbot's third of the season - and his forth since joining the club - and could face a five game ban if the card is not over-turned.
