Aston Villa are said to be keeping an eye on Millwall midfielder Paul Ifill with a view to buy once the transfer window reopens.

Ifill, who has just signed a new three-year contract, is said to be the subject of a possible £2 million bid by the Midlands outfit after impressing with his earlier season form. Villa had been interested in fellow Lions midfielder Tim Cahill but their interest cooled after the Aussie missed most of last season through injury.

Meanwhile Neil Harris is set to line-up alongside Bob Peeters upfront tomorrow as they look to extend their impressive recent record at Vicarage Road. The Lions haven't lost to the Hornets on their home turf for the past six visits and are looking to bounce back after last week's disappointing defeat away to Gillingham.

Aboubacar Fofana could make his first start for the Lions while Kevin Muscat should return to the defence. Paul Robinson looks set to travel despite picking up an eye injury in midweek while Noel Whelan could miss out after being out of sorts last week.

Watford striker Heidar Helguson will be missing for the game after suffering a knee injury in training but Bruce Dyer has been passed fit after missing training with bone bruising and should partner Danny Webber up front.
