The central defender sat out Saturday's 5-0 thrashing of Tranmere Rovers as a result but the injury was not as bad as first feared.
"We are disappointed to lose Darren," explained Lions assistant boss Joe Gallen. "But at one stage we thought he could miss the rest of the season, so in that respect we are pleased."
