The Sweeney
Sweeney: Stoked?
There is mounting speculation that Millwall wingers Paul Ifill and Peter Sweeney could be on their way out of The Den as new chairman Jeff Burnige looks to lighten the wage bill.

Ifill, 25, has already attracted interest from both Stoke City and Leeds United and now Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock is said to be after the midfielder, who has been valued at around £750,000.

Peter Sweeney, meanwhile, is said to be having talks with Stoke City after contract negotiations with The Lions broke down. Sweeney, who was recently called up by Walter Smith for the Scotland Futures squad, has gone on record that he would like to stay at The Den but it appears that Millwall's decision to stall on a contract has forced him to look elsewhere.
