New boss at The Den?
Dennis Wise today hinted that he is ready to become the full-time manager of Millwall Football Club.

While taking part in an online chat, the Lions Midfielder spoke of his immediate future as caretaker boss and did not rule out replacing Mark McGhee on a more permanent basis.

"I've got one more game left and I'll know a lot more then," said Wise. "I've got a meeting on Monday with Theo Paphitis, the chairman, who wants to have a chat about a few things and I want to sit down with him to see what he thinks.

"I've enjoyed working with Ray Wilkins and we haven't completely said no. It's just that there's a lot of issues that need to be sorted out. "

Concluding the chat, Wise said "At the moment, I'm caretaker manager at Millwall and I'll find out a lot more on Monday. I can't say anymore than that."

Under Wise Millwall have picked up seven points from three games and the diminutive playmaker has won over the Lions support with his team selections and the manner they approach the game. And with no clear favourite to land the job, he may yet sneak up on the inside rails to secure the post on a permanent footing.
