Millwall boss Dennis Wise has declared his support for captain Kevin Muscat following the Aussie's sending off against Norwich City on Saturday.

Muscat was red carded ten minutes from the end of the game after an off-the-ball incident with Darren Huckerby, who crumpled in a heap as play continued. After consulting with his linesman, the referee, Mr M. Thorpe of Suffolk (yes, Suffolk!!), showed the skipper his second yellow card and dismissed him from the field of play.

Speaking after Saturday's 0-0 Den draw, The Lions boss said "I've just taken two pressmen to watch the video because one of them of them said Kevin Muscat stamped on Darren Huckerby and no he didn't.

"I've seen the video and he just stepped across him. It shows nothing and to be honest it was the linesman who got him sent off. The referee was five yards from it and the referee gave nothing, but the linesman who was 60 yards away had waved for offside and not for the foul. He went over and asked him - I don't what he asked him - and he sent Muscat off. I'm very disappointed in Darren Huckerby in the way that it happened. I've looked at it and I can't see much wrong with it."
