Millwall boss Dennis Wise is hoping to meet with Jeff Burnige before the end of the season to clarify the new Chairman's aims and ambitions for next season before deciding whether or not to quit The Den.

Wise, who was speaking after the 1-1 with West Ham United at the weekend, has made it clear that he wants to stay, but he has already had a very public falling-out with Burnige over what he believes to be a lack of investment in the current squad.

"I need to have a chat with the new chairman at the end of the season, and find out what route he wants to take," Wise said.

"I want to stay. I have enjoyed myself here, I am ambitious and I want to try to get the club out of this division.

"But you need help, and if you don't get much of that, it makes it very difficult."
