Wise snaps up toffee

Millwall boss Dennis Wise has eased the club's striker crisis by bringing in forward Nick Chadwick from Everton on a month's loan.

21-year-old Chadwick has made seven senior starts for The Toffees, scoring three goals, and will make his debut for The Lions in this Saturday's televised game against Bradford City. He is Wise's first signing since taking over from Mark McGhee and will follow in the footsteps of Steve Claridge and Moses Ashikodi by having his age on the back of his shirt, after being allocated the number 21 jersey by the manager.

Everton's official website, www.evertonfc.com, describes him as: "An extremely hard-working striker with a fantastic eye for goal", which is nice. We were all hoping for Darren Huckerby, but it could've been a lot worse. Watch this space...
