Young guns go for it

Millwall's line-up will have a very youthful look about it next season with no less than six more teenagers being awarded a squad a number for the first time.

The additions highlight the flourishing success of The Lions' Academy and the new faces will be following in the footsteps of the likes of Steven Reid, Tim Cahill and Paul Ifill, who all graduated from the Youth Team. The six include England Youth internationals Cherno Samba, one of the hottest prospects in the game, and Alex Tiesse and they are joined by Tim Clancy, Barry Cogan, David McCartney and Mark Quigley.

Ben May, Marvin Elliot, Tony Craig, Peter Sweeney and Moses Ashikodi - who at the age of 15 became The Lions youngest ever player - retain their squad numbers after impressive run-outs last season.
