Goals from Kiernan Mason (2), Omar Beckles, John Marquis and Ikenna Ofoche saw The Lions go into the break five goals to the good and although they took their foot off the gas pedal in the second half they did enough to ensure their progress in the competition.
Their reward is a Third Round tie against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough, with the date of the tie to be confirmed later this week.
