Telford's historic cup exploits finally ended when they conceded a goal in each half to a strong Millwall side who go on to entertain Burnley in the fifth round.

Danny Dichio's extended loan period from West Bromwich Albion did little to help the Bucks cause, but at least they denied him the opportunity to add to his five goals in three games.

Tim Cahill (back from suspension) never put a foot wrong with a solid performance and the fantastic work rate of Paul Ifill was rewarded with a fine goal.

The game started predictably with Dichio going close in the first minute, and as the home side countered, Robin Hulbert was held in typical style by player-manager Dennis Wise.

Neil Harris was off target for the Lions before Hulbert showed some sparkling footwork to leave three opponents trailing, but Sam Ricketts couldn't control the final ball.

Cahill failed top capitalise on a defensive error and keeper Chris MacKenzie made a point-blank save on ten minutes.

Dichio went close deflecting a fierce Harris shot marginally wide before having a header comfortably saved a minute later.

The visitors deserved opener came seven minutes from the interval when Cahill fed Ifill on the edge of the area and he rifled home with the help of a deflection.

The second half saw Telford have more possession, but with the absence of Lee Mills upfront, they lacked aerial power.

The match was put beyond doubt with a clinical finish from Wise, who picked his spot to score his second goal of the season from 20 yards.

The Bucks left the pitch to a standing ovation from the capacity New Bucks Head crowd.
